Google's Site Reliability Engineering

This post is an article on Google+ that I found really interesting. It's an interview of Benjamin Treynor Sloss by Niall Murphy (VP of Site Reliability Engineering and Site Reliability Manager respectively) on what an SRE is, why they exist and the advantages their roles bring to how Google manages it's technical infrastructure. It's a really interesting read and an eye opener for how things could (and should) be done for anyone coming from a more traditional Development & Operations IT structure.
